Here's the report from Fleet captain Brian Rutter, owner of Neptune's Car:

We started off the season with The Susan Hood Trophy Race, a 75 mile overnight course. This year's race turned out to be real light air challenge. With average boat speeds of 1 knot for the first 12 hours patience was the name of the game. Tango skippered by Pierre Savard topped the fleet with Don French’s Arriba and John Ferreira’s Air Force rounding out the top three.

The RCYC opening regatta event was the Royal Canadian Yacht Club Open held on June 18-19. After five hard fought races Richard Reid’s Zingara topped the fleet with Neptune’s Car claiming second and Shane’s Return in third.

The fleet’s next event is the 300 nautical mile Lake Ontario 300 race starting on July 16th. This race travels the length Lake Ontario and back and always provides a wide variety of weather conditions and challenges.
